Unfortunately for Christian Veilleux, his performance against Wake Forest will be defined by his slide — and the subsequent ruling — late in the fourth quarter.
But as the third-year sophomore made his second career start Saturday, he continued to show encouraging signs in his development. It certainly wasn’t perfect, and there’s a lot of work to be done, but Veilleux continues to show that he has a future as the Pitt starting quarterback.
It will get tough — very tough — on the road against Notre Dame this weekend, but for now, let’s look more in-depth at Veilleux’s day.
