The Pitt Panthers will have a chance at win #8 this Saturday vs. Louisville at Heinz Field (kickoff at 3:45 PM).
Pitt still has a chance at the Coastal Division championship but must win their remaining 2 games (Louisville and Miami, Fla.) and North Carolina must lose their remaining 2 games (at Virginia Tech and at NC State).
By winning this past Saturday, Pat Narduzzi became the first Pitt coach to win at least 7 games in his first season since Foge Fazio won 9 games in 1982.
Here are some other game notes to get you started this week (courtesy Pitt media relations department).
*A victory over Louisville would give Pitt its eighth win, something it has not achieved in the regular season since 2009
*The Panthers’ three losses this season are to a trio of nationally ranked teams with a combined 28-2 record: No. 5 Notre Dame (9-1), No. 6 Iowa (10-0) and No. 12 North Carolina (9-1)
*Tyler Boyd is the ACC’s most productive pass catcher this season, leading the conference in receptions per game (7.7) and receiving yards per game (77.8)
*This is the 17th meeting between Pitt and Louisville in a series that dates back to 1976…the series is tied, 8-8
*No Changes to Pitt’s offensive or defensive depth chart
