Four-star Peters Township safety Donovan McMillon committed to Florida, ending the whirlwind recruitment of the breakout star in the WPIAL class of 2021.
McMillon chose the Gators out of a top five that also included, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.
The safety’s recruiting took off after his junior year. Pitt was McMillon’s first Power Five offer in November at the tail end of his junior year with the Indians.
Since then, almost every major program in the country has reached out to McMillon, including Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and Tennessee extending offers in addition to those in his top five.
The Peters Township senior is the fifth WPIAL player in the Class of 2021 to commit to a Power Five program joining West Mifflin’s Nahki Johnson (Pitt), Union’s Aaron Gunn (Louisville), Central Valley’s Stephon Hall (Pitt) and Beaver Falls Josh Hough (Syracuse).
